1. Am I able to have a mortgage in Cyprus?
Yes, all commercial banks offer non residents mortgage loans to help them with property purchases. The normal amount is between 60%-80% of the value of the property, meaning a deposit of 20% to 40% of the property price is required.
2. Is the Cypriot Legal System easy to understand?
The legal system in Cyprus is very similar to what is used in the UK.
3. I want to transport my furniture with me to Cyprus.....
This can be a very expensive method of furnishing your new home. We understand you may want to bring valuable pieces with you, you would need to obtain transport/insurance costs. Furniture in Cyprus is generally cheaper than UK and other areas of Europe. We can recommend furnishing companies for you.
4. Can I bring my pets?
Yes, with upto date proof of vaccinations and licenses if applicable. Please be prepared for a 6 month quarantine if necessary.
5. What are the standards of Healthcare in Cyprus?
You will find medical facilities very high, with hospitals, medical centres and private clinics. Public hospitals offer services once you have become a permanent resident for a small annual fee. Private healthcare can be purchased via banks and insurance companies.
6. What kind of properties do we offer?
We offer a wide variety from residential (new build, resale and rental), golf resorts, land plots to commercial buildings.
7. Do you have properties in all areas of Cyprus?
Our property listing includes areas such as Larnaca, Limassol, Pissouri, Paphos, Nicosia, Troodos to name a few. We currently do not offer properties in North Cyprus which is under Turkish Occupancy.
8. Do I need vaccinations if I move to Cyprus?
Visit your own doctor for advice depending on your personal medical condition. Generally Cyprus is in the same category as the UK.
9. What happens to my UK State pension if I retire to Cyprus?
There should be no changes whether you live in Cyprus or the UK as long as you have paid National Insurance contributions for the minimum required time.
